Email Confirmation Message Options
complete

I've been using "Email Confirmation Message" to write a message I thought would be sent to athletes I confirm into the event, but just learned it is sent when people first register to the waitlist. For me, the other option would be more useful, or have a box to check to customize a message for either (A) Waitlist Entry and (B) Roster Confirmation emails. For that matter, I'd prefer customization of all messages sent to athletes, such as the "Exciting times! Your participation is now pending confirmation by Tahoe Freeride.." that is plugged in as a default but I'd prefer different wording-- my own. Further, on the lines of communicating with registrants, a better email format would be good; one which allows for paragraphs (as this one copresses and disregards any formatting we do creating new lines and indentations) and cleaner links (which are important functions of these initiating emails). And one which allows you to view the whole contents of in-event email histories, instead of the 3 bylines currently visible.

Hi Jason,
We've renamed that field so its clearer that this goes out on the registration email, not confirmation email.
The formatting of paragraphs and such will work as long as you compose the email on google docs/word and paste in. It reads normally on most email viewers like outlook gmail etc.
We've also added a new feature so you can email blast confirmed atheltes only. With those changes I'm going to move this feedback to closed.
thank you for your feedback!

Thanks for the comments Jason and Paul!
Just a heads up, just this week we added a feature on our "Email athletes" tool within an event that allows you to filter by entry status e.g. waitlisted or confirmed: https://support.liveheats.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034191412-Sending-an-email-to-athletes-in-an-event

Easily accomplished by downloading all athletes registered, sort by status, use a mail merge tool to send out what ever customized message you'd like. No need for a more complex communications interface to accomodate optional registration status within the app.
