I think we need to increase the decibel level of the sound effect that's attached to the digital siren function. With the laptop on full volume and a brand new Soundboks speaker on volume 11 aka max it's just not loud enough. You can push volume in audio editing software.

I set up the bluetooth Soundboks speaker and digital siren for Coolum Boardriders last weekend and I had some feedback:

On staging you can manually test the siren at any stage of a heat, but on the weekend that feature wasn't working once we were 'LIVE', not sure what was happening?
The volume is largely reliant on the max volume of the computer, not the speaker. Sounds strange but I know how loud the Soundboks speaker can go, but the old PC laptop the club has, at full volume, still wasn't loud enough IMO. Is there a way to boost the siren SFX decibels, so we can ensure all devices are loud enough?
This is a fairly subjective piece of feedback, but the 5min to go chime sounds odd. The start and finish sirens are based of an air horn which is familiar, but the 5min jingle sounds like a chime in a kids audio book. I personally think we should find a more organic SFX for this alert as I heard a few sniggers and saw a few raised eyebrows around the judging tent.

Apart from that everyone was super stoked with the feature and the simplification of the speaker/horn system.

Agreed. Even a digital siren customization where you can adjust the sound output, change quantity of the horns, etc.

Agree with all of this! We haven't been able to use it because the siren cannot be heard in the lineup. And the 5 min is not sufficient
